0,00 €Ultratech Gen IV D/E Cerakote Moss Green Aluminum, Cerakote Moss Green is a full-size OTF (Out The Front) automatic knife from Ultratech. The fourth generation is distinguished by a number of improvements, such as; Crud Kutter™, Dual-Fuel Drive Train™. The Handle was also redesigned, equipping it with solutions known from other models. Working in D/A (Double Action) mode, it allows the blade to be instantly extended and retracted with a single thumb movement. The design by Tony Marfione, owner of Microtech Knives, combines modern design with the highest quality workmanship.
Dual-Fuel Drive Train™ - an upgraded knife opening/closing system, the mechanism works smoother and requires less force to open/close the knife.
Crud Kutter™ - a series of beveled notches under the opening slide, prevents the accumulation of dirt that could interfere with the opening mechanism.
Ultratech OTF Line - Microtech 's flagship OTFLine model , which set the standard for all Out The Front knives. Ultratech 's proprietary trigger spring design, which remains in the “resting” position at all times, except when used. This prevents the spring from fatigue, reducing wear and tear on the internal trigger mechanisms which ensures that the knife will always function effectively. The light weight, the ability to open and close with one hand, the slim shape of the Handle and the sharp blade make it a one-of-a-kind knife, available only from Microtech.
M390MK - thanks to the cooperation of Microtech and Böhler engineers, an exclusive version of M390 steel made only for Microtech was created. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to closer scrutiny thus improving the properties of M390 steel to provide better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) doped with 1.95% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Cerakote™ - a ceramic-based finish that can be applied to metals to improve a range of physical properties, including abrasion/wear and corrosion resistance . Thin-film non-reflective, low-friction matte protective coating resistant to high temperatures, chemicals and impact. Provides durability and hardness.
Blade - machine ground D/E (Double Edge) type, sharpened on both sides, with a long line of grain grooves on both sides of the blade. Coated with Cerakote™ coating . The blade is brought out with a high flat grind (Flat Grind), providing excellent cutting properties. This gives the knife excellent piercing properties while maintaining its strength. The strong mechanism of extending / retracting the blade with the help of a moled Thumb Slide, a stepped thumb slide requires for safety the application of a specific force to overcome the resistance of the spring. The method of opening provides seamless opening for both right and left-handed people.
Handle - made with excellent precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines, from Cerakote™ hard-coated aluminum 6061-T6. The surface texture of the Handle makes the knife non-slip in the hand during use. There are notches (jimping) on the back and bottom of the handle for a more secure grip. The slim profile and the milled two-position (right/left) solid deep-carry clip allow the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket, in tip-down (blade tip down) position. The clip bears the Microtech logo, serial number and production date. The Handle is finished with a glass breaker, a solid steel triangle into which a tungsten carbide ball has been pressed. It also features a hole for interweaving a decorative cord.
