Combat Troodon Gen III Bowie Signature Pixel Camo Aluminum, Pixel Camo this largest of the automatic knives is the pinnacle of precision engineering and tactical prowess in the field of OTF (Out The Front) knives. Built for a wide range of utility applications, it boasts a 25% larger size compared to the flagship Troodon. Precisely crafted, it features a sophisticated and hellishly fast mechanism that extends the razor-sharp blade. 100% made and assembled in the USA. Designed by Anthony Marfione, knifemaker and owner of Microtech Knives.

Combat Troodon OTF Line - Troodon means “wounding tooth” in Greek. Although the name was first given to a Raptor-like dinosaur, the name is equally appropriate for Microtech's large OTF knife, designed for all sorts of uses and close combat. The over-the-top, Double Action (D/A) automatic knife is a favorite OTF among law enforcement officers, the U.S. armed forces and emergency services personnel. Its rugged construction makes the Combat Troodon® suitable for heavy use, and the advantages of the Out The Front automatic also make it an excellent knife for everyday carry.

M390MK - a collaboration between Microtech and Böhler engineers resulted in an exclusive version of M390 steel made only for Microtech. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to closer scrutiny thus improving the properties of M390 steel to provide better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) doped with 1.95% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened to 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Blade – machine-ground in a Bowie (Clip Point) profile, single-edged. It features an eye-catching black Pixel Camo coating, giving it a modern, tactical appearance, increasing resistance to wear and corrosion, and effectively masking minor scratches and signs of use. The blade is brought out with a high Flat Grind for excellent cutting properties. As a result, the knife has excellent piercing properties while maintaining its strength. The wide grain further strengthens the blade. The strong mechanism of extending/retracting the blade with the help of the moled Thumb Slide, a stepped slide under the thumb requires for safety the application of a specific force to overcome the resistance of the spring. The method of opening provides seamless opening for both right and left-handed people.

Handle - crafted with exceptional precision using 3D CNC machining from 6061-T6 aluminum coated with black Pixel Camo. The textured surface and deep jimping provide a secure grip, preventing the knife from slipping during use. Its slim profile and machined, dual-position (right/left) deep carry clip allow discreet pocket carry in the tip-down position (blade tip down). The clip features a smooth rollerball, making it easy to slide the knife into a pocket without damaging the edges. The clip also displays the Microtech logo and the production date. The handle is finished with a glass breaker – a steel triangle embedded with a tungsten carbide ball for effective emergency use.
