56,27 €This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
Mothus Pink G10, Grey PVD is a design by Gregory “Kombou” Grabarski - one of the most distinctive knife designers of the new generation. This model epitomizes his approach to functional design: the geometric, thoughtful line here goes hand in hand with comfort of use and high culture of the mechanism. Mothus is a folder created for everyday use - robust, aesthetic and intuitive, yet extremely compact. The blade made of Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel ensures high corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening and excellent working sharpness. The drop point profile and flat grind guarantee precision cutting and good control, even in demanding tasks. Opening is done with a classic thumb stud disk , and smooth and safe operation is ensured by the Bar Lock mechanism, which locks the blade with high precision and without the risk of hand contact with the edge. The G10 composite handle combines low weight, good grip and futuristic aesthetics. Ergonomic undercuts, subtle milling and a balanced profile make the knife sit securely in the hand in any position. The whole is based on steel liners, which guarantees rigid construction while keeping the weight low. Complemented by a deep carry clip, ensuring discreet carrying of the folder in the pocket. Mothus is a folder modern in form and practical in use - created for EDC enthusiasts who expect more from a knife than just a cutting function.
Grzegorz “Kombou” Grabarski - Polish graphic designer, photographer and talented designer, the main creator of knife designs at Bestech Knives. Known for his unconventional ideas, breaking the stereotypes of knife design. Long cooperation with Bestech has resulted in exquisitely crafted knives made of the best materials, with a unique look.
14C28N - martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price/quality category!
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) - the resistance of the surface of the wedge and cutting edge has been increased by a vacuum deposition method used to deposit thin films by condensing an evaporated form of the desired material onto the surface of the workpiece. The coating method involves a purely physical process such as high-temperature vacuum evaporation followed by condensation. The applied coating has a very high hardness which significantly increases the resistance of the blade to rust and abrasive wear.
Bar Lock (Crossbar Lock) - a crossbar that moves horizontally in longitudinal cutouts in the steel side plates of the handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar overlaps the back of the blade from above, preventing its return movement. This beam is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking is done by pulling back the locking bar, the ends of which are accessible through cutouts in the grips on the sides of the Handle grips. In the locked position, the bar presses against the cam surface at the back of the blade, preventing it from opening on its own. Advantages of the B-Lock include resistance to contamination, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of operation with both right and left hands, and lightweight operation.
Blade - with drop point profile is made of stainless steel 14C28N, which combines good corrosion resistance with easy sharpening and stable edge retention. The flat grind provides excellent cutting geometry, and the gray PVD coating effectively masks signs of wear, emphasizing the utilitarian nature of the model. Opening is done with a thumb stud disk , which allows quick access to the blade with one hand. The applied Bar Lock works smoothly, ensuring stable locking of the blade in the open position and convenient folding without exposing fingers.
Handle - made of G10 composite offers modern aesthetics and mechanical resistance typical of G10 composites. Lightweight but stable construction with internal steel liners ensures durability and good balance. Milled surfaces, finger undercuts and an ergonomic profile increase comfort and control while working. On the back there is a deep carry clip, which allows the knife to be carried discreetly and securely. The whole design is maintained in the aesthetics characteristic of Kombou - modern, clean and consistently usable.
