- FX-597 highly advanced knife The Dart Karambit. Project by Doug Marcaid, a specialist and instructor of the South Asian martial style Kali. Tanto blade made of N690Co steel with Idroglider Black coating, Knife for a professional!

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
FX-597, highly advanced folding knife The Dart Karambit. Designed by Doug Marcaida, a well-known specialist and instructor of the South Asian martial art Kali. Tanto blade made of N690Co steel with Idroglider® Black coating, Tip-Up clip, Emerson Opener hook. Lightweight and extremely effective, a knife for professionals!
Doug Marcaida - Filipino martial arts champion, judge on the popular TV show “Forged in Fire”. Creator of his own signature line of edged weapons, knives that reflect the spirit of Filipino martial arts. The distinctive triangles on the handle grips are a reference to the main principles of FMA combat.
Karambit - a type of knife that originated in Indonesia, with roots in Malaysia and the Philippines. It is characterized by a finger ring and a sickle-shaped blade that is extremely effective for cutting. Hawkbill mimics the way an eagle's claw or tiger's claw tears, piercing and cutting at the same time. It is used as a work knife and for defense.
Emerson Wave (Emerson Opener) - a hook patented by Ernest Emerson on the back of the blade allows for quick opening of the blade when removing the knife from a pocket by hooking the pocket edge with the hook. Thanks to Wave, every Emerson folder equipped with this solution is the fastest knife in the world when it comes to opening speed. It is also faster than a switchblade, as it is ready to use as soon as it is gripped.
N690Co - cobalt-rich 1.65% (Co), corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo) and vanadium 0.10% (V). Developed to provide better wear resistance compared to the original Böhler N690 steel, but with a higher cobalt (Co) content. It is characterized by extremely high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Hardened to 58-61 HRC. Produced by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Idroglider® Black - the durability of the blade surface and cutting edge is increased by a scratch-resistant, non-reflective, matte-black protective coating made of PTFE. It ensures a long service life and resistance to rust.
Blade - modified Tanto profile. Plain blade with flat grind (Saber Grind) enables effective cutting with the entire cutting surface as well as with the ultra-thin tip. Ribbed ramp (support) for the thumb on the spine of the blade facilitates handling of the knife. Liner-Lock.
Handle - Rouge textured grips for better grip. Made of G10 material resistant to mechanical damage, chemicals, low temperatures. Non-conductive, prevents gloves from sticking to the covers. Open-backed design reduces weight and simplifies cleaning. Spine jimping on the back of the handle for a secure grip. Clip (left/right) for carrying the knife in a tip-up position with the tip facing upwards. The handle ends in a polished finger ring (back ring) made of aircraft-grade aluminum T6-6082. This makes it easier to rotate the folder around your finger, enabling you to perform traditional techniques.
Additional accessories - the set includes an additional clip, mounting screws and a Torx screwdriver.
